PageDynamics+: New software suite for digital publishing
e903 has released a software suite which enhances the digital publishing experience for both publishers and end-users. Using a unique combination of off-the-shelf software, and PHP and ASP modules specifically designed for the purpose, PageDynamics+ or PD+ for short, brings online and networked publications alive with links, sound and video.

"This is a significant market opportunity for us." says E903 principal John Baker, "It is something I have been involved with since 1989 when I first loaded document images into a C++ program I had written, and added pan, tilt and zoom functions. From that small beginning we now have page flip animation, and the opportunity to liven up documents of all types with animated elements and video."

Mr Baker adds that although many screen-based presentations are criticised for having text and images flying in and out all over the place, there is a real need to get away from the staid and boring results of the normal print-to-digital process which in many cases consists of pages dumped online with little further thought to the rich multimedia applications which can make all the difference.

Page turning software has been around for some time now, but that is only a small part of PD+. (Seen inset running a B2B magazine.) With integration possible with large-scale systems such as SAP, and the many software offerings from Oracle and other vendors, there is a wide variety of functions which can be used in the more traditional electronic document management system marketplace.

John Baker again. "Making a document look like a REAL document and handling like one too, has always been a challenge" he says, "That is almost old hat now. Page turning has matured and is with us to stay. What we have in PD+ is the functionality to allow a further and richer variety of useful additional functions, all capable of working with a variety of systems or as a stand-alone suite. Our depth of knowledge of different markets has helped us to modularise the software, and provide functions previously unheard of in traditional digital publishing"

The software is about to enter the Beta test stage, and E903 welcomes applications for Beta test companies or organisations. The first release is expected to be in January 2010, although there has been so much interest behind the scenes, that some companies are keen to run with the Beta software as it gives them so much more than what they have at present.

About Element 903
The roots of E903 as it is also known, go back to 1982 when the company was first called Image Management and focussed on graphics and photography, then later document management and microfilm systems. 2009
2009 promised to be our busiest year ever - and it was. With a lot happening not only on the publishing and e-publishing side, we also extended the photography and video too.

E903 are no strangers to promotional video, having already produced an entire package for contemporary Scottish ceilidh band Ceilidh Stomp. (www.ceilidhstomp.co.uk)

'PHOTO Model' Concept Magazine Published
The concept pages of the new PHOTO Model magazine are now available to view.

"
Our plan when rolling out the PHOTO range of magazines is to first produce a concept cover, which gives us the graphics to work with, and then to produce a few pages to introduce that cover and the concept of what the magazine is about.", says PHOTO Direction and Element 903 Principal, John Baker. He adds, "The roll-out plan is quite aggressive, but all feasible as the medium is electronic."

The next task for Element 903 is to produce the Media Pack for the series, which will describe the marketing and distribution strategy, as well as announcements about partnering and advertising. Starting at £10 per month, it is sure to generate interest from individuals and companies alike. ■

'Face of PHOTO Model' Found
E903 is pleased to announce that after a (very) short search, we have been successful in finding a model to front our new publication PHOTO Model. The new 'Face of PHOTO Model' will allow E903 to promote the new magazine is such a manner that it is bound to attract a lot of attention.

We will be keeping the details quiet for the next few days while we put together the first pages of the new magazine and publish them online. Suffice to say our new girl is the perfect choice for us as she is gorgeous, versatile and has an excellent range of work.

A link to the first pages will appear in the 903 NEWS section here as soon as possible.

E903 Principal John Baker stated, "I would like to offer my thanks to all of the model hopefuls who got in touch with us. Obviously only one of you could take on the task, but we will certainly keep you all in mind for future promotions and publications at E903." ■

Search Launched For Model
Element 903 have an occasional digital magazine called PHOTO Model. The online-only magazine features new and existing talent, and carries specially written features and articles about the professional and semi-professional photographic modelling marketplace - worldwide.

With news, views, reviews, and much more besides, it is a good read whether a model is just starting out on their career, or are an old hand in the industry.

To allow Element903 to continue producing the magazine and make it as meaningful as possible, for PR, sales and marketing purposes:

we are looking for talent ....

If you are over 18, (or can prove parental consent,) and you are already a professional or semi-professional model who would like to feature on the marketing material for PHOTO Model (and be on the cover as well as featured inside) ....

please get in touch with the publisher ASAP

A format being considered for the news section of the e-magazine PHOTO Model
Key sections and regular features will be very much model oriented, with the emphasis on models getting a good portfolio together, and getting known in the industry.

There will be an opportunity for models to showcase their talents and show the art directors, photographers and agencies what they can do.

HOWEVER ....

This is not a membership magazine, it is free to anyone and will be published through several specialist e-publishing outlets
syndicated around the world via general and specialist PR companies
passed on to key industry web site managers and other industry contacts

PHOTO Model is not in competition with any of the numerous photo-modelling web sites. (Models should pursue as many public facing opportunities as possible.) It is a professionally produced magazine featuring genuine professional and semi-professional talent ONLY.

It will complement the various model web sites, and regularly feature them within its editorial too. ■
